Are smoking drivers are a safety issue?

I remember in "elementary school" first or second grade. Some lady came into class to teach us about the hazads of smoking. She had a mock set of lungs she used to smoke a ciggarette with. Foam lumgs covered by plastic and a check valve at the top to "drag" the ciggarette.

It was an old school and had windows that would open. New schools are like prisons now... But she lit up and smoked a whole ciggarette, with the plastic lungs, right there inside the classroom full of kids.

She showed us how much tar was left on the foam at the end and went on about how bad it was. Good times.

I never thought I would want to smoke after that. Time changes people, maybe she did it too soon.

 

I remember in HS all you had to do was walk past the teachers lounge, heck the smoke was so think it was funny!

 

I went to a high school that actually allowed smoking out side on the campus area in 1978

 

Quit smoking almost a year ago. On the subject of Germs, old George nails it -
