I take full responsibility for getting in this business and running my business. My point was that I think there's less deserving (as you pointed out) getting aid than us. I'm not crying on the government's steps, I just think help if any should go where it's needed.

One of the big problems is the gov continues to suck us dry and even it gets worse in a bad economy.

My opinion with all this... big business has gone amuck! I am all for Capitalism, but not the current system. CEOs making 400% more than the lowest paid employee when at one time it was around 50%. Supper Sized businesses like the Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Swifts, JB Hunt and hell even PetCo all questing to make as much money as possible on the backs of everyone else.

Profit is not an ugly word, but when it comes in the name of out sourcing to China and laying hundreds of thousand hard working middle class Americans off then in my book then it is!

Like our last President was quoted in saying.. "This is an impressive crowd... the "haves", and "the have mores. Some people call you the elites, I call you my base."

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mn4daYJzyls

See... this is the exact mentality that will prevent hard working Americans from ever reaching their American dream. So while big business keeps cutting their costs to impress Wall Street, the Middle Class gap keeps widening. And this scares the crAAp out of me!

*** just a note.. the above clip has nothing to do with Bush vs. Obama, Dem vs. Rep... anyone of them could have said this and I would have bothered me just as much. I am just trying to point out the obvious. ***

Hopefully the Rep party will learn a lesson from the disastrous Bush presidency. He did as much damage to the Conservative wing as Clinton did to the left. And hence-Obambi. I hope these conservatives that the Reps refused to back beat their wimpy hand picked candidates in NY and Florida and they realize that a lot of us are not just going to vote in lock step like the blacks and others do for the Dims.
The economy is global whether we like it or not. All you can do is try to educate yourself as to how to best play it. WalMart is ok as long as you aspire to get into management. If you just keep checking or stocking you aren't going anywhere. Don't like it , but the days of getting a job and doing the same old thing for 30 years are over. I would rather see Gov money go to hard working trucker that fell on hard times instead of a bunch of commie maggots like ACORN. But it isn't going to happen. All you can do is tighten your belt and hope you make it out the other side. And if you don't learn from that failure. We all fail sometimes in life. Lord knows I sure have. But as long as you come out smarter and stronger you are still a winner.

I agree with you and I am going to refrain from turing this thread into a political debate. Because we all know what will happen.

But you touched on a very key point and that is the "global economy". The middle class working America has been the victim here. The poor if they do not have to drive, education and work ethics then sadly they will never rise above. But today they have really nowhere to rise to. If anything the middle class is being forced backwards all the while the upper class keeps steady. See this "global economy" has the rich whistling Dixie! What a fantastic business model, cut hard working American jobs, healthcare, 401Ks and shift the work to Asia, Mexico and even Canada (no heath care costs). And all for what.... WALL STREET!! But this is having a profound trickle down effect that we all are feeling in every industry. Lower pay and no job security all so big business can keep making money. The days of small communities supporting towns up and down US Routes are gone with manufacturing leading the way to their failure.

Without manufacturing our nation is NOTHING and this is the problem I have with Wal-Mart! In their quest for ultimate domination they have disrupted the lives of so many Americans... they shut their factories down, closed the "mom and pop" businesses of small town American and now with people out of work from their actions what better thing to than offer the displaced wonderful savings on their crAAp products!

It is kind of funny how Wal-Mart was not nearly the size prior to the Clinton Administration and NAFTA and it is no wonder Clinton and Wal-Mart come from the Razorback.

It truly saddens me to think of all the people who shop at Wal-Mart really having no idea of the vicious cycle that lead them there. All in the name of the "global economy".

I am very afraid that this is the fall of the Roman Empire with China and India waiting in the wings to take our place.

    "Thank you and good night"

I agree. We need to get our manufacturing base back-and quickly. But as long as business is treated like a piggy bank by local, state, and Feds they are going to haul a ss. They are no different than a mouse. Leave some food and water around and they will flock to you. China is going to experience growing pains in the future as are India, Viet Nam, and the other rising powers. I hope we are in a position to capitalize on it.

    I agree!!

To build on what you said. The tax rate has not changed but what is now happening is state IRS agencies are auditing corporations more so now than before. Why? Because the states are running out of money and what better way to get some than through interest and penalties!!

My wife is the one with the brains of the family and she is a CPA working in a corporate tax department. She has two audits in two weeks... on of them being Canada even!

These are the 2 most ignorant political statements i have ever heard. Even Rush and Glen Beck would laugh at this.

Your refer to Obama as Obambi, Have a pic in your sig that takes a jab at him. Then you go on to say we need our jobs back in the U.S ?

News flash for ya buddy, Deregulation (the other half of the retardlican mantra) is the reason large companies are allowed to out source work to other countries. Deregulation is the reason the Walmarts of the world can refuse health benefits and over time to their workers. De regulation is why shipping companies can pay you penny's.

The global economy you speak of, well we wouldn't even be thinking about such a thing if ... wait for it ... Our large corporations were not allowed to send work and money out of the country like they do now.

You should seriously stop talking about things you know nothing about. It just makes you look ignorant.

Unfortunately when the gooberment gives the working man a bone its not the way you have seen them hand out freebies to the union thugs and the other campaign/election payoffs that the stimulus packages were.
When the goobs give the working man a bone its done doggy style. I'll leave you to figure out who is in what position.
