I bet someone took it. Some driver probably was tired of sitting or needed a load going that direction.
I have been it simular situations. These loads are usually the ones that are slow loading. No detention. Slow un-loading. No detention. REAL LOSERS ALL THE WAY AROUND.
OK,now I'm getting good and depressed.

I am seeing LTL loads paying more than FULL... why?!?! -
I would guess that big part of the reason the load to Denver is paying better is because Denver is hard to get a load back out of, and maybe partially because it's supposed to snow out that way later in the week. Sometimes LTLs will pay TL rates if they need to make sure they get the load covered and delivered in a short period of time.

Ive been around for several years now and one thing I do notice is how many Mexicans work for Celadon and are up in Minnesota and Chicago etc. They are working for a Us owned company that has found a way to get around the No Mexican truck rule. Bet if you say ?Que Pasa. On the radio theyll answer you. Bet not one will tell you how much he makes.

I'm in New York trying to get to Milwaukee and a dollar a mile would be a HUGE payday outta this area! I made about a hundred calls today and no one offered over 70 cents a mile and some as low as 45 cents. I'll dead head 1st. I think.
-
.45 to .70 per mile? That's insulting! I'd deadhead too. Do ya'll think there's folk out there that actually take loads at these rates? That borders on criminal
-
I'll look at it this way... less wear and tear on the tractor, trailer and tires.... set the cruise control and try again in Ohio!!
Good luck to you brother!Big Duker Thanks this. -
Just say NO to cheap freight.........
It seems that you need to insist that the rates be good enough to cover the deadhead out of areas like that.
Ya'll that are running up there have to KNOW that they'll try to low ball the rate on the way out.
If it continues.....make sure you make all your money on the way in.
It's easier said than done......I know.
I NEVER had any love for anything in New York anyway.......my option would be to NOT go there at all.
