I have a couple a questions to ask:

    Do brokers include a FSC???
If not, do they get snappy if you do ask for a FSC???
Is it worth hauling a load from Miami to Atlanta for dirt cheap then getting a expensive load to NY from Atlanta?

Some of the brokers I used include the FSC in the rate, others show and give me all of the FSC.

i hope you check a brokers (history) before you use them. a cheap load is a cheap load period. i will deadhead before i haul a cheap load you will be money ahead for doing it in the long run. if you dont know your cost per mile learn it real quick! hauling for fuel money is not a good excuse! ever!!

The Challenger and Big Duker Thank this.

never period! im just hardheaded that way. say you load a cheap load to get you from miami to atlanta you load on monday deliver tuesday. you make just enough to cover your fuel cost. empty by say 10 oclock am. now you deadhead to atlanta and load early in the morning on tuesday. i will bet you will spend about $150 deadheading compared to $250 in fuel cost hauling a cheap load. plus the extra wear and tear on the truck hauling that cheap load. your truck will last longer and you will spend less money doing that deadheading!

    The Challenger Thanks this.

If you don't mind sharing what's your cost per mile and what is your bottom I'll haul it #?

There's a reason I ask and I'll get to it if you don't mind answering that first. Thanks
