Thats what I'm looking forward too. 2 more weeks and I HOPEFULLY upgrade to my own truck. But then I also have a possible position offered to me from Schneider. But oh wait, he said he'd hunt me down and kill me if i hopped his truck and/or quit before i finished training with him. My only mindset is that I want to leave central on good terms so that for one, my DAC doesn't get hit negatively and two, i'd be rehirable with central if anything happens in the future.

I wouldn't send the link. Deal with the training manager directly. Writing leaves to much open for interpretation.

You can explain it calmly, factually, and to the point. It's more professional.

And you definitely don't want to get in a pissing match while on his truck. He can put out of his truck in the middle of nowhere. He is not suppose to, but he can.

Thats an issue for me though. Calling him requires me to have the time to do so. While I am driving, no phones are allowed, except in airplane mode and only used as an mp3 player hooked up to the radio. Which I agree with, since i'm lacking the skill to talk on the phone (bluetooth headset) and pay attention to driving. So no issues there. And while he is driving, I lack the personal space in a truck to feel I won't be overheard. Also, we have yet to be near West Valley City, UT to be able to stop in and speak with him directly. Wish I did though, got some classmates that are waiting on new trainers since they are all having almost word for word issues. I'm planning on toughing this out, but we shall see. nothing in life is certain.

Hate to tell ya, you leave Central now and your done. They won't take back. Your gonna have the same stuff to deal with no matter where you go. As far a training companies go anyway. And if you can get on with some one else.

    N172 Thanks this.

So even if I was to give a 2 weeks notice, leave my truck at a terminal and not at some truck stop, it would be a negative report on my DAC? Even doing the professional and moral thing to do?

It's probably 50/50. You'll want to make absolutely sure you have a job lined up. As in done deal. No questions. You absolutely will be hired. Not some bs from a recruiter. Leaving after such a short time is a big negative on your job history even if they don't ding your DAC.

I've quit Central 50 times in my mind. Can't tell you how many times I told my wife I'm done. But then the next day is new, things don't seem that bad the next day and I just know, starting out, no matter where I went the company name changes but it's the same bs. It really does get better.

Well and thats the kicker, Schneider says the hire recent graduates. So as soon as I received my hard copy, should I have said goodbye to Central? I'm in the position now to have almost a full week of talking with a recruiter and doing as much paperwork while i'm OTR with a trainer, to get this all set up. I will be on a 3 day hometime, due to my trainer taking mothers day off. Which is also not allowed with Central, but I get to see my children, so i'm not going to complain. Its ALMOST at that point to where I was guaranteed a job with Schneider, then I would not be getting back on that trainers truck.

And I didn't know you worked for Central, I feel like i shouldn't be talking negative to you about Central...you could end up being my dm or something in the future. Lol, hell...you could be Gary Pleasant, the training manager!

Now that I think about it, today wasn't such a good day. P/u this morning was loaded to heavy. 20 miles to nearest scale. Scale out, go back to get reworked. Waited 2 hrs. Drove 160 miles ( sucky short load) 2 hrs to unload. Freight damaged by shipper. Called claims ( OS &D ). Waited to find out what they wanted to do. 2 hrs late for next p/ u. Preload wasn't ready. Wait 2 hrs. Scale. Out of time. Alot of work for little money. Now it's bed time. Tomorrow already looks better.

    Good luck. Be safe.
