Not only you have to be careful from cartel members or the neighborhood thief.
Local cops also want their money too. A family member and myself we used to deliver pvc pipes to Reynosa, Mexico. I gotta say we got stop more than 4 times by local law enforcement asking us for the mordida or bribe which was 50 pesos equivalent to 5 dls.

A darn shame that drivers cant even do their job peacefully.

I’ve been shook down more times in Mexico than I can count. But at least they’re honest about. And you know what to expect. Most times. Money, jail or worse. Simple as that.

Where on this side of the border, they find ways to steal it so as you don’t notice as easily.
