Arrested for Text-Messaging in School

If this is the old "put in the back of the car for a good scare" thing, that's probably ok. But I don't like the trend in use of domestic police for more and more private issues.

 

This is another reason why I have told my 15 yr old that when she turns 16 in December 2009, I will support her withdrawing from school, obtaining a GED & then go to college full time locally & CLEPping some courses. She does not have text on her phone, I just do not want/need another part time authority figure in her life giving her a hard time.

 

This kind of stuff is why I have been homeschooling my youngest since early 2006. He will be attending public school again starting this fall, but at a high school in the small town where he is a member of the boy scout troop. Just did the school choice application to get him in there today.
