I was not trying to show them anything. Accepting the detention would have resolved the incident. This is far from over. The company was negligent. The trailer was in a stolen status, if you will, before I picked it up. The Montana arrest did not have to happen. As for how much compensation? I have no idea.

I'm not an ambulance chaser. I never said anything about vast sums of money. This is a case of negligence, it did not have to happen. We we humiliated for no reason. That's not nothing.

The arresting officers said that this will not appear on our records in any way, because we were not formally charged.

    Sorry spyder,
    I dare to disagree.
They lost their dignity, they had their integrity impugned, they were humiliated in public, and they could have ended up on YOU TUBE!!

Now when anyone pulls a background check on these men, it will show they were arrested.

What the MHP did was not a "simple screw up" as you put it, spyder.

This police action demonstrated that this is Departmental Procedure. Ask any lawyer.

The only recourse these men have is to sue...to restore their good name, their character, expunge the arrest from their record, and to ALTER Departmental Procedure.

You don't have to be black to have your civil rights violated.

:biggrin_25511:getting off soap box now. going to bed/ gonna soothe the nerve that spyder stepped on.:biggrin_25511:

I'm curious you were stuck on the road and chains didn't even help. How did a wrecker manage to get there and pull you out?
