As a Student, I am inquiring: What do truckers do while waiting 4 hours to unload?

My favorite thing is I get a hot load, a message and call from dispatch saying do not be 1 min late or its a service fail, do not be 1 min early or it's a service fail. Call me beforehand if you will be late or early but it will still be a service failure. Must be really important stuff. I arrive at the gate at 1301 when the appointment is 1300, so I start to worry. I go through and they make me wait 3 hours for a live unload, followed by a 2 hour unload. It was bleach for a PnG load. Immediately stopped caring about delivery times. I'll get there when I get there. How can you sit there and say be somewhere 800 miles away to the exact minute for a delivery. Can't even show up early? What madness.

Took four hours to load this morning. Luckily I was able to idle, I watched Netflix the whole time.

Will your TV kill your batteries in just four hours?

I tend to watch on my tablet, though sometimes I'll use my laptop.

Guess I assumed you were saying you needed to idle to watch, but I'm guessing your phone charger doesn't kill your batteries that quickly.
