I have been using it for about a week. Works pretty good. Any message you get on the PeopleSnot also come to your phone thru the app. It shows your trips and the miles it took to complete them along with fuel mileage for each trip.

Speaking of discretion.... You don't like going to Leesport, they have a hard time getting drivers there, so you get forced into helping out. Then you come on here talk about how bad it is, and how you hate it, just general badmouthing. Did you ever think about how that impacts them getting enough drivers so you don't have to go up there anymore, and whine horribly about it??? Just sayin...

okay so time for a little clarification....

it's not specifically leesport but the northeast in general. I spent every single week up there for 3 years with my previous company. don't like anything about it. my disdain for the northeast is a running joke among friends as evidenced by the comment from @Cranky Yankee above from another thread. you haven't had enough interaction with me or been on this forum or with the company long enough to know me or my personality and when I'm being serious or when things are to be taken tongue in cheek and/or with a grain of salt. that said......

with regard to leesport specifically. they have issues there. they know they have issues there. this is no big secret to anyone. this is a very good company. I've been working in transportation/warehousing/distribution/logistics in various capacities from entry level to senior management since 1986 and this is the best I've worked for in any segment of that industry with regard to how they treat their employees, thier pay and benefit scale for comparable work, and the environment in general. for a trucking company specifically, they can't be beat, even by walmart in my book, and having spent time at walmart in a management capacity I can speak with authority and credibility when I make that statement. I've made these points time and time again.

you'd rather we blow smoke up the ### of potential applicants looking at leesport? nothing any of us have said about being up there is not true. it isn't embellished. it isn't exaggerated. just the truth. you'd rather be an applicant and ask questions about a specific operation or company and someone sugar coat it and make you think it's the greatest thing in the world only to get there and find out the reality is something completely different? how many times in this industry have we seen that happen? how many times has someone at other companies sold it as the best thing in the world and more than it is just to line their pockets with as many referral bonuses as possible? we don't do that here.

I may not like it running out of that DC but I can run the northeast and run well there. my last several weeks that I've run out of there have been 3151, 2980, 2880, 3064 respectively and I've run a 3455 week. up there. it's solely dependent on the planning. if you can get planned so that you can get out and back in a day it can be a good week. if they plan you so that you're caught away from the DC out of time and running in and out of there with the clock running it gets a lot more difficult and harder to do well there.

if you want to see badmouthing go to any of the other threads for the usual suspects and you'll see it. we present nothing but facts......but we also try to have a little fun with it and each other. you haven't been around here long enough to learn the people and the personalities so don't take things so literally and read things into comments that aren't there. this is great technology for conveying ideas but it completely sucks sometimes for conveying intent and inflection because you can't hear the tone of someone's voice when they say something or see the wink wink nudge nudge in a particular comment or be familiar with how a particular person gets their point across.

you're out of arcadia. you don't get the pleasure of being sent there every few weeks to run. if you did, you'd have a different perspective on it. we get to do it every couple of weeks and sometimes consecutive weeks. we're a lot more familiar with the operation and how things are run up there. it isn't like running out of any other location in the company.

in short, lighten up man. we all know each other around here and we don't take each other so seriously. there's a lot of good information around here and especially in the other longer running thread. this is a company where we have each other's backs and make sure we get out information to each other that might not and often doesn't come through channels the way it should.

if you wish for me to exit your thread say so and i'll honor that request. we have our own long running thread many of us have been posting in for along time now. I can just as easily just stay there

Ok, so, that was a crazy long winded post.
First, no I haven't been on here long, no I don't know you. And you dont know me either. Neither do any of these guys asking about the company, so when they see you whine so much it's very off putting. I'm not saying lie, I'm not saying sugar coat it, but calm it down a bit.
Now, remember how I posted I work off shift from most, weekends and such. I've bee leaving arcadia wensday and Thursdays with the 'hot transfer' to leesport, 7 out of the last 9 weeks. I generally avg around 3300-3400 weeks. But that's not exact as I don't run spread sheets... I've been too leesport a lot more than advance or ecru. Hell lately I spend more time running out of leesport than arcadia.
My time here.... How long have I been here? I don't recall saying, maybe I did... I've been here 7 months, long time? No, I belive you posted you've been here 16 months. So in reality, not much more than me. So mayyyybe step off that high horse.
3 WHOLE YEARS IN THE NE?? Dang, you want a medal? My first 6 years driving was to the NE and back. Do I like it? Not really. Do I do it? Yes, pays the bills. Do I incessantly whine about going out there? Nope.
Does leesport have issues? Yes, ALL the warehouses do! We spend lots of time in Arcadia waiting for loads. It's not just out there.

And my main point was, to an uninformed driver coming in, the way you explain Leesport/ the NE region, would turn them away. Ad most of the guys I talk to, don't mind running up there. The biggest complaint is traffic.

    point taken lol

like I said it's not the greatest technology for conveying someone's intent and inflection and personality.

we'll just have to agree to disagree. happens all the time and nothing wrong with it, just different perspectives of the same situation.

I tend to rub a lot of people the wrong way because i'm very direct and blunt in the way I approach things . just the way it is and I don't really care. can't and won't change who and how I am

    carry on
