Well here's a little something, you folks may be interested in, a friend of mine told me about a- People Net - App, loaded it from Google Play, its called, people net connected driver: its nice because I now get to see what they, dispatch see's, and I can read those dam messages without calling in all the time---HA HA.
I actually get the messages, and a little sooner than the people net in the cab.
Now I do not have to be in the cab of the truck, I can wander around, that's going to be real nice!
It does a lot more than that also!!!!!
And it hints the program may be doing a lot more in the future--its worth a look.
In stead of hitting the play button, and trying to make out what it's saying, it pop's up on the app, on the phone mounted on the dash, and I just read it, O the joys of not having to call in----HE HE--its going to drive them crazy!
Been using it for a couple of days, I like it, just thought I would share--it does have some value.
NOTE:
You do have to be logged into your truck people-net for it to work--it works like a tether to the truck people net. If you are home for your break (34) and sign off people net, it will not work, but some of us in remote locations can stay signed on, on break but be in off duty status for the break and it works, because we are not signed out, or off the machine for our 34.
Just my 2 cents----

Been doing good, avg about 3100-3200 a week some higher spots, and a couple of lower spots, but its right were I like to be. Right in the rocking chair--LOL
Know of some friends doing 3600-3800+, and some doing 2800. For me and some others it just does not pay well after about 3100-3200 mark, u know the tax thing, and quality home time-(not burned out).
Dispatch was a little slower this week, for about the past 2 months, I have been stacked up as many as 3-4 runs-including the one I was on, that's been real nice for me for the planning if u know what I mean. This last week it seems it fell apart, back to wait until u get their until u get dispatch and call in again, and again, hopefully it will switch back to the dispatch stacking again--it really helps when they can stack the runs on.Last edited: Dec 13, 2015
trucker43 Thanks this. -
Seems like it's been that way for me also, knew what I was doing Friday all the way up until Wednesday~that's on the LTL side

There is a open position for PTP/Truckload Driver in Jacksonville, FL on the company website. Does anybody know how is the operation for drivers based in that area? Are they able to come home every weekend like in other terminals?
-
-
If your going to the atlanta yard, all they have is Volvos. The 670s are for LTLs and the truckload are all in 780s.
-
Got a question and maybe I asked this before but do the LTL runs go to only Ashley stores or various furniture stores??
-
They go to any store that sells Ashley furniture.
