I'm looking to move to Texas, does anyone know if Ashley has any regional/dedicated routes that would keep me close enough to the Austin, TX area to be able to take my "weekends" (34hr resets) in Austin, TX?

As much as I post about not having a life during the week as a local driver, what you describe is why I still do it. I almost had a brain fart and went back to a regional gig, but thought about the weekend scenario you describe, and backed out of it.
I may not have a life from Monday morning to Friday afternoon, but I get done and am home by 5pm to 6pm every Friday night and don't have to report back until Monday morning between 4am and 7am. That gives me a FULL weekend every week.
When I ran regional, like you, I'd get home either late Friday or early Saturday, and many times had to leave out Sunday afternoon to set up for my Monday morning delivery. It's hard to enjoy that time off when you're unloading and unpacking, doing the laundry for the week, catching up on other chores like grocery shopping for the upcoming week, etc... By the time you get all that done, it's time to repack and reload and go back out again.Last edited: Apr 16, 2016

Hey everyone, I have a phone interview on Monday. Does anyone know what kind of questions they ask and if they throw any kind of curve ball questions? Any info about this would be most helpful. Thanks
-
no question can be a curve ball, its just a phone interview..vanilla...like all the others.
Pbeita Thanks this. -
1st week all back hauls including Arcadia. 2nd week lees port then back hauls including Massachusetts
-
So far I've been disappointed. All back hauls the first week. No furniture. 2nd week Massachusetts and all northeast and mostly back hauls. Must be a lot of recruiters on this thread. Regional.....laughable
-
You did a backhaul too mass??
-
Recruiters on truckers report. How much they pay you to keep the posts up?
-
Yes. They had me on a back hauls to Wisconsin on Thursday night. Make sense?

No recruiters I know of. It's hit and miss, sometimes it's all out of your own terminal. I've been to Advance the last 2 weeks. I ain't complaining...
