I didn't even do that, yet I passed Orientation anyway.

Im sorry mr guy it is very hard to sleep when you are hot thats why im up (hot flashes)
A few suggestions take shower and if not available maybe just splash water on face and neck
Or maybe you can get some kind of fan. Don't give up a lot of companies have an idle policy and no apu. Your new Nand its kind of early to find out how greener the grass is else were, it could come back to bite you in the butt. Best of luck to you

Tell your trainer you're hot and if he refuses contact the person nesesary and tell them you need a new trainer and state the reson why if you dont do anything about it your just gona quit .im a rookie and i am enjoying my job here at may the idle policy is ok just that you have a bunch of whinny grown ### men that like complaining ,yes its summer and its hot they allow you to idle your truck 45%. but you have guys that want to idle when its 60 degrees outside and you can also ask for extra idle time . The 61 mph policy your just gona have to live with it , you're bearly starting to crawl and you alredy want to run comon your not even a trucker yet and you wana be flying down the freeway learn to back up that 70 foot truck then you can speed all you want good luck buddy

I don't want to fly but there have been times when a few more mph would have gotten me out of sticky situation. Ive been around rigs my whole life just recently started driving though. I'm just crabby tonight been stuck in terminal listening to grown men crying and its put me in s bad mood. I'm actually enjoying it for the most part I know ill enjoy it more when I'm on my own. Just crabby and tired I've been ready to solo out but logistics can't seem to get us to our home 20. May is a decent company I'm just over this top bunk

Hey i hear you been there done that i had a couple days when ive wanted to strangle my trainer and a couple days when i was hot and didnt say anything but before i knew it it was over with and i was on my own ..... This is my second time coming out solo and only my fourth week being solo and im doing great never been late and always running may was the best decision i could have made and i dont regret it one bit read my story youll see all from day one seech "its official i start may orientation on 6/4/13" check it out and youll see im not lying . And yes youll be at tge truck stop or eaven out own terminal and and youll hear grown men complaining about the smallest things in the world just ignor them they get mad cuz there ball pen just ran outa ink and now they gotta shake it so it can work again itll be over before you know it and in your own truck ideling all day if you want stay positive and be safe out there

just like any job, there is going to be complaining... so you might want to get used to that ;)
everyone has their limits, their breaking points, what they can put up with and what are deal breakers. the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but once you have the experience there are plenty of opportunities that will be available to you. first year is just about getting your experience, as you can see if you go thru all these posts in the May section that have been started by tons of people on here, and had their experiences, good and bad, but you learn... just happens most of us are prior may drivers ^.^
