3 day orientation (Tues -Thurs) then 3 to 4 weeks with a trainer in the passenger seat while you drive.
Dry Van for the western 11 states or refer for the lower 48. Your choice. But I believe that May Trucking doesn't go into Canada

TNTHARLEY got that part right but I will interject, based on my return trip home from Phoenix to Colton, CA with an 11 Western MTC driver, that you can get a reefer load if they desperately need it done and you're one of the few people they have around the area with hours that can take it. If they have you leave the 11 with it make sure to send a message that you would like to be routed back to your territory A.S.A.Please.

Thanks, a friend of mine is going to driving school down south and got the pre employment letter from May, just wanna make sure it's not a "sign up for the rest of your life, we will throw you the keys" or a running team training program.

You need to have your CDL to be employed by MTC so there's no "sign up for life". Side by side training there, the only way to go.
    No Canada with May.

You can switch from Western 11 to 48 states if you want plus No contracts to sign either. If your friend is paying for the driving school out of pocket, have them save all of the receipts because they will reimburse for the tuition at $150.00 / month up to a limit. I don’t remember the max. check their web site www.maytrucking.com and get in touch with a recruiter. They will have all of the info.

    DRVNDRVR and qtip Thank this.

Looked up the website, I've forgotten what an entry level wage pulling a van is like yet it seems appropriate

No idea, I've been doing flatbed for the majority of the last 14 years. And when I've pulled vans they've been long combinations (twin 53's)
