Yeah, funny about that change to *four* hours. Live loads seem to take anywhere between two and three and on half hours. Never four. One could almost think that the "we pay for detention" game was rigged...

This question(s) may have been answered previously in the post but I'm only on page 33. I'd like to talk to a recruiter asap but it's only Saturday.

First...does MAY hire out of the Los Angeles area? (I'm about 50 miles west of Fontana).

Second...if they DO hire out of L.A. where would I have to go for orientation?

Third...I've had my CDL for 10 yrs but have not driven in 1 yr. In addition, not all of the 10 yrs were in a class-A truck. My last 4 yrs were driving class-A but they were bottom-dumps. Will this be an issue?

BTW: I will NOT have an issue going out with a trainer for a few weeks. I need to hone my skills. CDL is spotless on a 10 yr DMV printout.

Thanks in advance for a prompt response.

    Thanks Scooter...and you too BLWJR.
Another question comes to mind. I already know what "Jolene's" answer will be so I'll ask here.
Do you guys think it is a good idea to start my OTR career at this time of the year? (No OTR experience, snow, ice etc.)??

I'm just starting myself I solo'd on the 8th only way your going to learn is to do it. And don't worry about miles I've been out since the 15th and have went over 7200 miles and still running.

Well, May Trucking runs the 11 western and 48 States. Stands to reason you will run in the snow and have to chain.

Nope I just got my license, I have not had to chain up I know it's coming tho not scared about just not looking forward to it, I have not drove my truck yet in the snow but I have drove in the snow with and without chains either way you have to go slow.
