11, and I recommend not following my example.

Too many lousy, short, dispatches. I often bump docks twice a day. I spend a lot of time dealing with urban traffic, waiting for live loads, waiting, waiting, waiting. When I finally do get back onto I-5, I see numerous Owner-Ops pulling May trailers, making the easy money.

Thanks seamallowance. Took 48. So far so good. I have military experience, nothing else. All specialized vehicles with multiple steer axles and automatics. I sure do like this 13 speed though.

I really miss that 13 speed. 10 speeds just don't compare.

Do they have any automatics? Also do they do team driving?

We run 13 speeds supposably they just got a few for testing or it could be just a rumor. Yes the have teams too.

I am having a difficult time finding a good starter company that also takes newbie teams. What makes things difficult is our school is only teaching us to drive auto. No stick- the manual truck just broke they told us. So that narrows down our options too much. I have been having terrible luck with this truck driving attempt.

The rumor is real yes they got about 20 automatic trucks for testing and there are names on a list for those trucks and just my two cents I would have ran away from that truck school as soon as they said they didn't have a manual truck. may has you do a drive test in orientation and if they see you can't shift they send you on your way.....

Did you hear the rumor from an employee of May?

Find another school and get a refund ASAP!!! There may be a time in this industry where a person can learn on an automatic, but that time isn't now.

We were told they had manual when we signed up. The truck is sitting in their parking lot. They just neglected to tell us its been broken and we won't drive it
