I do. However, I am not an expert or even a trainer (like Scooter) just a newish driver/schmoe.

I don't know of anyone taking their trucks home. We park them in the nearest May terminal or drop yard and then drive our personal cars home (or get picked up by our spouse).

Doesn't mean that it doesn't happen, just that I am not aware of it. Besides, parking a 65' combination in most residential neighborhoods is frowned upon.

If you get permission from a business that has a large lighted lot near where you live, you can take pictures and discuss it with your terminal manager and they will sometimes allow for it. However, sometimes the issue is where you live relative to the route your load is on.

I also have a pre-hire from May. Just wondering, do they have a terminal or drop yard near San Francisco? That's where im looking to relocate once I get my CDL, the recruiter said it would be fine but we got sidetracked and I forgot to ask about it... thanks for any input

They have a drop yard in Yolo, off the 5, just north of Woodland.

Also, any idea on their tattoo policy? Or if stretched ears (guages) are a problem? I've heard mixed answers, between "it's the trucking industry and nobody will care" to "professional appearance is important."
I have a full sleeve, and other various ones that'd never show at work. Im definately willing to cover up, but I'd prefer to not need to when its hot out. And I can take my guages out and they close up pretty well, I'd just rather keep them if possible. Making a living is priority though; ill definately do what it takes and be happy to have a good job, just curious about policies.

My trainer had guages, (3 and a half year's ago), and I saw alot of tats. Gotta few myself. Haven't heard that they'd changed since I quit a couple of year's ago.
