Platinum, my answer would be Yes, get all the endorsements you can because you never know what will happen....
If things dont happen at May, you may need them elsewhere.
Like they say " #### Happens". Better to have them and not need them, than to NEED them and not have them.....my .02$

Hello May Trainers. I have a question. I completed a three week course at Roadmaster in Orlando in Jan. of this year. That was my first experience driving a truck (10-speeds). Since graduating, I have been driving for TransAm, which utilizes automatic trucks. TransAm was a BIG mistake, but that's a whole another thread, and it looks like I will soon be part of the May family. I am excited, but also concerned because of my limited time behind the wheel of a standard truck and the fact that it was months ago. Am I going to have a problem testing at orientation or will they work with me a little, if needed, to blow the dust off. I did fine in school, but after my time with TransAm, I really can't afford to not get through orientation. Thanks in advance. BTW, Trucker Steve, you should get some kind of kickback, you were a big part of me going with May. Thanks again.

Hello Brother, Sounds like your making a great choice, sorry about your experience at TRANSAM.
As far as your question, well you can feel relieved to know that we utilize 13 speed transmissions which you where not instructed to use in the first place. Have no fear tho, just be completely honest (may's number one policy) let them know you have been in a auto and you got your training on a 10.. May is willing to help. Now those that come in acting like billy big rigger better be able to back up what they say...
Where will you be going to orientation? Pensacola?
Welcome to my family brother! -
We have many costumers in Ohio. Americold JM SMUCKERS,SCOTTS, ETC. To many to list actually. Getting to and from is no problem at all. If the info I have heard is true were looking to expand in that market. -
Thanks Steve, I feel a lot better about it now. I'll be in Pensacola, looks like it will be the first week of May because I have to work out my final two weeks with Transam. I am looking forward to the change. Jennifer is a sweetheart by the way. She has been very understanding of my situation with TA and has gone out of her way to help. Any chance of getting the famous "Trucker Steve" as a trainer?
