DJ - They sure don't have a school. They will reimburse up to 5000 for schooling however. Don't forget their are also a lot of ways to get a education for free.
Thank yall very much. Was not very thrilled in any of the others. Just want to get into the industry with a decent company. Unfortunately, no assistance from schools at this point in time, but will more than likely be going to NBI around tax time!
DJ, look at this place!! Great school, not cheap, but I will say I was 100% prepared for the road. Probably the best school in the SouthEast... And, after seeing some of my students, and what they 'learned' in their 'schools' I would have paid $10k for MY school!
Swift trainers get ALL the trainee miles including their own. After a short time on the truck, Swift allows trainer & trainer to operate as a team. So, it is very conceivable that 30k in a mo (combined) would be possible. Another thing that Swift does (according to a friend) for the trainers is to pay .01cpm for every mile their trainees drive for Swift when solo after a 6 mos period.
Yes that's possible, but he said he did 30k if u run as a team he didn't drive 30k he was teaming big difference so u can't claim your students miles and say, "YOU" ran 30k
my husband is going into driving school with tdi in milton Fl on march 12, there is no doubt that he will do just fine, he has nothing on his record, no tickets, dui's nothing, no drugs, steady employment history. May trucking was mentioned to him by the tdi recruiter. from researching it seem we live in an unhireable area for most trucking companies, and if he were to get hired it would be hard to get downtime at home with those companies. We live 47 miles from pensacola & wanted to get an idea if drivers get many miles out of that terminal. he is trying to do his research now and decide which company he wants to go with. does living near a terminal help with getting home time?
