No. There's a lot of live load and unloading.

Not a lot of drop and hook when pulling a reefer.

So is May strictly reefer or both reefer and dry van? If they do both, what percentage reefer and what percentage dry van?

11 western is dry division, 48 is reefer division. for my first run out solo, as I headed west from denver it was dry, once I started going east, just about all of them were reefer. so if you just do 11 western you aren't going to be hauling frozen food stuffs ^.^ from my experience which isn't very much yet lol just about all my runs that were east were reefer loads

That makes me curious if May delivers to Fresh Frozen Foods in Jefferson GA. What percentage is no touch?

I have had to unload my frieght twice in the past 1 year and 7 months I have been with May. Once was a nursery load of those abominable trees and the second was this small time warehouse in the Bay area where I had to use one of their fork trucks (the kind you stand up on) to unload their freight.

This doesn't include the two or three bonheaded effups that shippers have done when loading my trailer (such as stacking the freight on the pallets wrong) that caused me to have to restack the freight and unload it after it fell during transit.

I have hauled several frozen loads running 11 western dry side. Othello to burley, burley to Bakersfield, Othello to Layton, Salem to Denver. I was also asked to run a load to WI due to being short drivers out of Othello. You can end up running them, but most of the time you will drop them in a yard for a 48 driver to run them east.

the safety guy told us that in orientation as well... how long does it take to unload those things?! and what if you don't know how to use a forklift like the other poster mentioned >.<
