How hard is the skills test? Graduated from Elite Truck School in Hillsboro Oregon... Start orientation on Tuesday.
I'm going 11 western. How often should I expect to be in the Portland/Salem area?

 

I graduated from Elite over 4 years ago (Wes was my instructor, he passed away last year). I live in Hillsboro.

on the 11 western ya spend 1/2 yer time on I5 .. So yer thru Portland all the time.

 

Good to know! Yeah, I'm hoping it works out where I could spend the night at home occasionaly... Def not not a dealbreaker just something that would be an added bonus

 

Park yer truck at Brooks yard, get in yer car and go home for the night. I did it all the time ..

 

At brooks, they have a road test, skills test, drug test and physical.. we shall see how this goes... Got outs truck stool two months ago.. hope im not too rusty...

 

Im in the same boat, I graduated from the Check Ride of Woodinville in November. I dont think the drive test will be terrible, but im not fresh by any means.

 

Why did you guys go to CDL school and wait so long to hook up with a company?

 

May Truckings idle policy is illegal and I proved it. They gave me everything they ever charged me for idle. You do not have to send in idle requests and they can not take money out of your check for over idle. It does not matter what agreement you signed regarding idle policy. It is not legal to take money out of an employees check. It is your money, you earned it and you get to keep it.

 

Where did you find the proof?
