all your carriers are going to be using 53 foot... they dont use anything else, unless you're doing local type stuff or containers. customers dont want to pay for a 28 foot trailer, they'd have to use twice as many to haul what they want, which then costs them more money ^.^

yeah... like i said lol, when i said local i should have specified, local/regional dedicated types

don't think I would have liked to have just been trained in a 28ft... maybe thats why the skills course didnt look so narrow ^.^ better add 25 more feet on to that badboy

Krazyhorsechick is a fast learner from what she says. I was just telling her my experience coming out of school. The school I went to had a 53 footer. One Saturday one of the instructors said he would be down at the school and I could practice on it. I only did the 90 degree but that help me out a little bit. If your school has a 53 footer I suggest you try to see if you can get them to hook it up for you. I mean even the experience trucker has some trouble sometimes. I just wished I had been trained on the 53 instead of the 28 it would have made it much easier for me at least. I had a harder time then most but I can tell you I'm not that quick to catch on it takes me a few tries. I do get it at some point but yeah it takes me a while.

I knew most carriers run 58 and 48 though as I worked for Swift. I believe I only ran 58 foot the short time I was there.

    sorry for the confusion

I am a little worried that I have not drove a 53 foot because I know were ever I go to work they will test me on a 53 foot. I did back one up one time but that is all. Im not sure how fast of a learner I am, I just listen and do as im told. I really hope were ever I go that I get a good trainer.
