If there's a claim, I can understand there being a payment issue. However, if I render services complete and undamaged per the contract I expect to get paid by the agreement's terms whether YOU got paid or not is irrelevant. I'd have ZERO problem suing you and/or filing a claim against your bond.

+ that's what Cargo insurance is for. Any packet that says I waive payment due to damage I cross out initial and get back prior to ever taking a load.
WarriorTransportGirl, Mattflat362, ZVar and 3 others Thank this. -
I'd say that I was hard working and bask in the admiration but in reality I'm just really bored of being a freight broker. I like the money obviously, and it's going to be a huge part of my financial life for a long time, but I haven't learned anything new at work in months. Everything is on repeat now and it's really really stale. -
Same^ but Trucking.Mattflat362, rollin coal and SL3406 Thank this. -
My brokerage is really good about this, which is part of why I'm in business with them. If you're going to be small you have to be beyond reproach to win ties on the load board... And I NEED to win ties.Mattflat362, brokerguy, Tug Toy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Ultimately it's completely unreasonable to expect a broker to eat a legitimate claim. If you damage the freight the insurance claim is between you and your insurance company and maybe my customer as far as I'm concerned. Until the customer pays me not only am I not paying you, but if it looks like insurance won't cover it the process server is already on the way.
I also consider it pretty screwed up that most of the people in this thread don't know what an exempt commodity IS and why they should be careful around them.Tug Toy, rollin coal and p608 Thank this. -
Any general aviation airfield with flight ground schools usually offer a introductory ride for less than 100. Go on up into the air, instructor will do the work. Enjoy. (Remember once you get beyond 50 feet up, it really does not matter regarding fear.) -
