Just spoke to my former instructor, I was wrong. You get the 10,000 mile credit for going through PSD. If you get your license through an outside source you will have to catch up to those who went through the PSD phase. Theyve already got some, not much, but some experience out on the road. They've seen the job first hand. Rush hour traffic, mountains, rain/snow, interstate, narrow two lane roads.... They have the basics on how to safetly operate the truck before they have their license, in varying conditions. Also do night driving in those conditions, which is much harder. I drive at night, its much harder to see and avoid danger. Plus, you have to build up stamina to drive at night. At first its almost impossible to make it through a full shift at night. Going through psd, you have someone there to help you and to tell you to pull over cause your too tired. This way you learn your limits.

I also want to know after i get my employment gap closed, would it be a good idea to put in the app. 1st to get it approved for school before i surrender my cdl to dmv? The reason i ask is because i am looking into a local cdl job here in town and they say that they train you to get your cdl if you have your permit, so just in case prime turn me down i can try for that job instead with the cdl i have now. I did not want to go for the local job yet.

Yup, this is what I recall as well. If you come to Prime with a CDL that was granted within 6 months (can't say that isn't less though) of joining Prime, you start as a C-seat (PSDer's are D-seats). C-seat pay is $500 per week before taxes, and you are bumped to B-seat and get the $600 per week/12 cpm guarantee after one month.

Ok, so I realize Monday was a holiday, and JCW's settlement was 24 hours late, but when can I expect the deposit to be made, I have bills to pay and children to feed.

Holidays are always like this... it shifts the cutoff day following the holiday from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then the COMDATA card preloads are available on Friday, and direct deposits on the following Monday. It just shifts everything one business day.

I here a lot of people complain that their direct deposit shows up Monday in these post Holiday situations.

I have BofA and its always there on Sunday when I check.

:biggrin_2552::biggrin_25523:This will go away from topic a little. But there is Good and Bad on every job like when do I get paid etc, etc. which is important for sure.

The forums give a lot of the down side (reality) to new people, so they can be informed of what they are getting into. This has been semi-answered by most on the thread sometime back. But what do you honestly like about what you are doing for a living NOW. Upside. Why do you stay with it ????????? Thanks:biggrin_25511:

I'll check tomorrow. It just caught us by surprise, we will know better going forward and will plan accordingly. Question: Turkey day is on Thursday, do you guys usually see your paycheck for that week on Black Friday? Or is it just the next week's that gets off schedule?
