Not to mention that it will be held against you by the first ditch diver in the first major snowstorm that you PROMISED never happens!

O ok thanks for the clarification. I get it, so its a fall back in case you have some really bad weeks for some reason. Thats kind of a nice little security blanket they offer, just another example why Prime is a good company, they really dont have to offer that kind of thing! Sounds like it would be unfortunate if you had to collect it though.
-
Well that clarifies everything I may need to pass that on to my last trainer cause he mentioned getting paid a certain amount for me driving after a certain amount of time

End of '08 and the beginning of '09 was the last time I heard of anyone collecting it - at the bottom of a bad economy. Its mostly for that. Honestly if you're into that kind of negative revenue territory, you're seriously at the point of needing to consider whether to continue or hang it up.

Hey Guys - I'm reading this thread from the beginning...it's very interesting..but I want to ask a question right here...about the unemployment thing. Here's my deal..you tell me if I'm wasting my time. I was laid off 18 months ago. My wife and I own a flower shop...which she runs...but I help. I collected unemployment, while quietly helping at the shop...delivery, books, advertising...etc. In addition, I've done some contract consulting work ... but I've not been really employed...just making a living. how do you think Prime will look at that?
-
Well, Markus, I'm not an expert, so my words might be worth exactly what you're paying for them, but it seems to me that if you're collecting unemployment from the state while you've "not been really employed...just making a living," there might be some conflicts there. It seems that "unemployed" probably means 'not employed,' not 'I take money doing some contract work.'
It seems problematic to me. Might be better not to mention all that if you can do it without lying or withholding information--Prime looks pretty dim on that sort of behavior. But, as I said, I'm no expert and might be all wrong. Heck, I'm trying to become unemployed in 64 days!
