No team is running 7k miles weekly, especially right now. With my last 3 trainees there were only a handful of weeks close to 6k. More often than not it was just below 5k most weeks with this last trainee.

you may plan on going home for X amount of days and reality of load schedules and you trainer's hometime can push it out to X+1 to 4 extra days for him to get back to pick you up.

"Ready for dispatch" pay really only applies to initially sitting at the terminal waiting to be picked up by your trainer. Or if you choose not to go home and stay on the truck(or put up in hotel) while your trainer takes hometime.

you can try and play whatever paycheck and hometime scenario you want. Just know that it don't matter to the truck or FM. When it's time to take your hometime it's time to get off the truck, even if its a few days early or days late.

You can fire your trainer, and get a different one.

on your reply regarding the 7000 miles per week, You are wrong sir, I personally know two team, Friends of mine, one ran 7300 this week the other ran 7150. I also replied to him that MY average was 7k miles per week and his would be different. If a team is running the truck the way it should be there is no reason why it can't do a 7k average. frieght isn't bad everywhere. And I don't say things here that are not true.

Can I be assigned a trainer who has one of those trucks with shower, kitchen, and washer/dryer?

On the second day of pay period I've already got 2775 in and looking at heading n.e. out of Arizona so I can see 7000 a wk. Not sure how your average is that though.

How long does one have to wait for a trainer after orientation and does Prime pay for meals during that wait? I'm a non smoker and wonder how many non smoking trainers out there...

A STUDENT waiting for an INSTRUCTOR does not get paid measl after orientation ends. Thats what the $200 loan per week is for.
