it wasn't working last week. i noticed a couple water trails leading out the gate from the wash bay but they had cones in front of the door.

    might be close.

So would he have the final "no hire from Boise" decision? And would it be prudent for me to contact him directly?

That decision is above his paygrade... there's nothing Steve can do about it.

I already have an orientation date of Jan 19th... should I still go with that or look for another company?

That decision can only be made by you. You have to decide if you really want to start out as a lease operator with no experience in this field. No one on here can make that decision for you. Just look at the facts, understand you will have one hell of an uphill battle just to break even let alone be successful. Read everything you can about being a lease operator as soon as possible so you can make an informed decision.

    Good luck

    Start by reading this...

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/prime/182163-leasing-prime.html

Hope you have $2000 to $3000 saved in the bank... you'll need it.

Your trainer will drop you off st the yard... he should be around to help you through the process. There are some classes and I believe some sim work you have to do. Check in with your FM... he can get you set up for that. That's week one. After you are A-seat qualified, you'll need to go through a lease orientation... that's week two. At the end of orientation, you'll sign a lease, and get your truck. You'll still have to inspect it, get it into the shop for any repairs that you'll need. After that you'll have to get your required equipment at outbound before you'll be allowed to leave on your first dispatch.

Has anyone mentioned that jumping into a lease truck right out of TnT is a really bad idea?

    What is the "required equipment"?????

Seems that I HAVE heard that it was a bad idea ... but to some of us, it seems to be the only option that can be done if you want to work.
