When you walk away from that warehouse job, will they have to pay for you to take a cab home? You have a warehouse job but you are talking to other trucking companies about you problems with your current employer? If you don't mind my asking, why are your checks negative?

If you abandon the rig, don't plan on ever working in trucking - even locally - again. Abandonment really does end all possibilities. While you may not like Prime, you are burning your bridges with all trucking companies that way. I'd really suggest getting the money together for a bus ticket, and taking the rig back to where you signed it out.

Wow! Didn't know they'd do that - I figured you'd be on your own.

The varying settlement checks are part of the deal with trucking. A lot of folks can't deal with it - helps to have some monetary padding in a bank account to smooth things out. Its always like that this time of year - freight's a bit thinner. Good luck with the new job boomer!

It depends on the FM. Generally, if you give the proper notice and ask for the ticket, they'll get it for you.

You were only with Prime for a month and a half, and during slow season at that, and already complaining about making no money? You weren't even there long enough for your FM to see how you would fit into his board. Yes, some weeks are good and some bad, but you have to be willing to put in the time to let the system work.
As long as you have good communication with your FM and run hard, you will make money.
Sounds like you are just homesick though. Sorry it didn't work out for ya. Gl with the warehouse job.
