Once I get my phone paid off I might think about switching. Got about 4 months to go.

You can still get AT&T Uverse packaged in on that deal.
For some reason AT&T is trying to get rid of Uverse and switch entirely to directv but they'll still hook it up if you're stubborn.

Better speeds, better reliability. I don't know why they're trying to get rid of it.

I made the switch from Verizon/Comcast to AT&T for everything. Haven't regretted it one bit.
I still have a Verizon company phone though and I'll admit it does have a stronger signal especially in basements and buildings.

Just remember I endured my second ATT service outage today from 4 PM to around a half hour ago. I did not have to do anything knowing the company will restore the servers that burned up like they did back in June for 16 hours. I hold em to it.

Getting internet on the mobile phone was a exercise in small screen and big hands. Ive about had enough of that to consider something else, but need to think on it before i do it.

    Nope.
They have to match LTE Coverage or not interested.

Oh and VZW will have to drop me anyway. Not giving up my old plan.
I may consider switching my other phone at some point.
But as long as I still have my unlimited line on VZW not switching that forever.

    Dharok and CargoWahgo Thank this.

If I didnt have Verizon the next best service is AT&T. Verizon and AT&T have a much better service area than Tmobile or Sprint. Not quite the coverage area that Verizon has,.. but good enough for most people.

If you can get a better deal through AT&T and are not obligated to anyone else,.. I think they would be a smart move.

You won't regret it. Some places it's better than Verizon some places not as good. But apples to oranges. I won't go back to Verizon that's for sure.

I put an antenna on the roof last month and told the cable company to pound sand. My bill was approaching $200 per month. I signed up for Playstation Vue and its a nice alternative for cable channels. It has a cloud based DVR and the NFL network for $34.99 a month. I am also discovering that my log in there opens up ROKU apps that require a cable log in to use.

Cable is toast. They lost 600.000 subscriptions in September which is twice the average rate. The future of live TV is streaming services and all the big companies are rolling out plans. It costs much less to sign up new customers to an internet streaming service than it does to install cable runs or satellite dishes. Even Google fiber is seeing the light. They are laying off people and scrapping plans to roll out service in new cities. The future is wireless and data only going to get cheaper. $35- $40 bucks a month seems to be the sweet spot for TV service.

U verse eats up available bandwith. Move the traffic off the hardwire to DTV and reuse BW without adding infrastructure.

Isn't it 1% reliability by Sprint? That's not coverage.

I have a terrible time with ATT in the oilfield. I beached out one of their engineers.....so he tells me, " look, all that stuff ( towers etc ) came in the package with this other area we bought. We don't want it but must operate it under the universal service chg. rules . We can't abandon an area but we also don't have to upgrade the area. We can just let it die off until the customer base leaves THEN we can abandon it." ( sell the carcass to a mom and pop )
