rintagh, glad you like the thread! I hope it is giving people some helpful insight into the company. So far I have no real complaints with them, they have followed through with everything. Yes there have been some bumps, but where isnt there any? I have still only talked to one driver who was quiting because he wasnt happy. Everyone else seems to be generally pleased with how things are run and how they are treated. Right now im at the J in Lodi. Ill get a reset tomorrow, I am plumb out of hours. I shook the log book, rattled its pages, even threatend to thro it in Donner Lake if it wouldnt give me more hours. Nope, didnt work. Thats ok tho, cant deliver until Monday anyway. At least I HOPE i'll deliver Monday! Couldnt get a return call from the Consignee on Friday so I had to leave a mess. telling them I was coming in. Hopefully the lines of comm. are working! We'll see! Well I really need to grab some sleep, thank God there was room here at the J, I was way to tired to try and find anywhere else! And theres soooooo much parking in Komifornia!

I think i'm losind it!( ya there are people who say I did that LOOONNNGGG ago!) Anyway, I just had to re-read my own post and check my paper work to see were the h*ll I had been! I forogt to tell ya that I deadheaded to UT( shake shake, bad memories) to get "power plant" equipment. Info said it had to be tarped, ARRRGGGHHH. But, when I got there that wasnt so! Took a bunch of pipes on a pre-loaded trailer to Vallejo, CA. THATS why I was in Lodi.(its the closest fuel stop). Then I got to come BACK to Lodi for the night because I couldnt pick up my next load until yesterday morning. Which kind of sucked scince I HAD to get fuel, and then couldnt go anywhere. Whopping 3.5 hrs logged for the day! Then in the am I head over to get the next load, in Pittsburgh. Carrying steel studs etc. up to Tacoma. Problem is, when I go to close the trailer tandems, no luck. Wont budge! After much hammering and 3/4 a can of WD40, I find out that one of the "connecting rods" for the release pins is boken off. Not good, the trailer is BRAND NEW! Only its 4th load. I guess they have had a ton of problems with these 53' all alum. Chaparals. A couple guys have pulled the whole rear tandem off the trailer trying to open them! Anyways, back to our story! I got lucky and there was a repair shop just around the corner and they got me fixed up quick. Headed out and got as far as the last rest stop in CA, not a great day but whatever. No real hurry I cant unload at the Port until 9:00am anyway, so getting there early wouldnt have mattered. What kind ofsucks is that my buddy was delivering in Seattle today and we thought we may have been able to get together for a cup of jo or something. Oh well, maybe next time! I'll check back tom. sometime, when I get the next load! Stay safe!

Okay..... How much trouble did you two get into last night ??

Not as much as it would take to be interesting! I just offered what little info and perspective I have. Now if I had someone to raise h*ll with this weekend..... Im sitting at the J in Ellensburg,WA. I have on another load of Genie lifts and cant deliver until Monday for the first one. Then on to Sioux Falls for the last two. This is supposedly going to get me home. The truck definetly needs something done to it! Everytime I start it I get the fault code now. I got to experience the joys of Seattle traffic yest. afternoon. Good Lord Almighty! I dont know why I wasnt aware of this mess! All the way from Redmond to Olympia, bumper to bumper! Think it took close to 4 hours. Got as far as the same truck stop in Toledo and said nighty nite! The delivery went fine this am, except that the info I had had me looking for a company that hadnt had that name for 7 years! A phone call took care of that. You'd think things would get updated every now and then! The owner of the company wasnt exactly thrilled to hear that he had spent thousands of dollars on a name change and it still hadnt worked! Not to mention the $200,000 lift he had just bought! Well, he got his lift anyway. What a beast! 47,700 lbs, extends to 135'! Now thats a lift! They must not see them often because all the guys from the shop were gathered around it like kids in a candy store! Oh us guys and our toys! No offense ladies, but I dont ever recall hearing about a group of gals gathered around a new appliance oohhing and aweing!

Hey Pathfinder. Thanks for the info you shared last Thursday. Seattle traffic is a bear isn't it. Sounds like you delivered in the SW Washington area today. Curious to know where you deliver on Saturday and what route got you to Ellensburg. Did you come back up I-5 and then take I-90 or did you take the Columbia River Gorge or some other route? Thanks again!
