Take the Smith System ! Most companies are very concerned about CSA 2010 and potential drivers with tarnished DAC. Try Wiener JB or Knight they are alway looking. Smaller fleets are sometimes harder to get on because they want drivers with 3 or more years, if you do get a job do your best to stay out of the safety dept and maintain a clean MVR for at least 3 years. After that your going to find better compananies willing to talk to you.
Attention all company drivers!!!

I'm glad big companies read this. They know what they are doing plus they know how to use a driver, example new ones. But trying to force info out of a driver and thinking they are slick by not fireing them, but giving them "family leave" due to it lasting 26 weeks so they don't have to dish out unemployment, is unreal. Bring it on, my attorney is ready. Thanks to companies like USA TRUCK, I'm done driving. Just watch out for the ones who will black ball drivers. Ive met allot of great people and learned allot in the few years of driving, but to think someone is getting seizures and having a state Dr write out a letter stating the meds are fine is ridiculous. Someones Dr needs to go back to school or some staff need to get their story straight. Yea I have seizures and a drivers license. Get real man. I don't get seizures, amazingly I dont with all the crap I went through. Good day and good ridence. Drive safe..

Us drivers know the about these so called driver mills ,to let a newbe get on with these jokers is wrong in my mind! I say let the truth be known and put it all out there. They don't get in trouble for putting out false info on your dac let us speak!!! Just mad about us drivers not being able to vocalize our suggestions without the possibilty of prosicution! Bunch of crap!! They go to driving schools with a bag of b.s to drag the wannabes in and promise the world! I say put it in writting. Would never happen! But you will sign your life away to them!! I have been lucky enough to have found a company that treats me well, right out of school and have been with them for almost 1 and a half with no complaints!! Other than lower pay. (no headaches ) just do my job!

I`m reading all the different posts, looking up different company websites and thinking back most of these companys pay crap,i know we all need to start somewhere get your experience and say goto crete(one of the better ones)I have never worked for them, but have read good about them on here.driving wages haven`t increased much,I`ve been driving since 1990,worked for some outfits, owned my own truck,so Ive been around the block.these guys doing lease purchases are really screwing themselves bad,all of us in one way or another might get the notion to buy or lease a truck because its better money, most go in blind, not knowing the costs of operating and whammmo their screwed.

Do it! go Crete if you can.
I was an o/o & a few years ago I was on the radio with a 14-yr Crete driver with a son-in-law that wasn't worth crap. He was thinking about buying a tractor for the kid to get him started & was asking me the ins & outs of o/o, & I told him.
Then he told me about Crete,s new contract; that shut me up. I advised him to take the kid with him as a teamer until he learned his way.
No o/o was gonna do as well as he was doing. -
I'm needing info on SRT, i mean do they give you good miles, get you home on time, how is the equipment, can you make money with them, what are their benefits like, i would appreciate advise from someone who can give me their true experience with this company, i'm sure we have all had our experiences, but i don't believe that all companies are bad, so please i'm looking for possitive inputs, there is enough negative on this forum already. So if someone can give me possitive feedback i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

If you made more money as an OO and the company made less,, Do you think they would be pushing the leases and so forth??
All they are doing is shifting the costs over to the drivers and the risk exposure. -
I was an O/O for 10 yrs leased onto Landstar,I did well, you pick your load,go where you wanna go,get home when you want too...I really do miss it,i was in a wreck in 2004,broke both my legs needless to say, totaled my truck. But I`m doing ok now, working local, great benefits etc, home everynight i read some of these posts and think #### glad I gave up the road
