It's amazing how DAC can create so much debate, anger, hate, Ha Ha Ha. ,Facts are Facts, the companies who want to trash a drivers lively hood with scribbles on a piece of paper are the companies you probably should not work for.

Most of us OTR drivers have found the road and the people out here living and working 24/7 365 in a Big Rig are good people. It's the companies that have been abusing drivers ever since the trucking industry started.

It's not about who wins its how you play the game. Keep your logs legal and follow the rules! Thats right be a good boy, sit and be quiet! LOL...:whax:

I'm thinking of finally getting my CDL, so I'm researching what I can on this forum and other forums. From what I'm reading, my question is this; is it worth it to drive OTR these days? I understand the away from home time and all, I want to run legal and be paid honestly.....are there any companies who fit the bill for a newbie?

There are some good companies out there and alot of bad ones. You will have to do some research to find the company that fits your needs and wants. For Example, what type of truck you want to drive, the pay you are looking for and the hometime that you want.Hope this helps, this is a real good place to do research on companies.

Vic there are good starter companies out there. But just remember they are called starter companies for a good reason get your start with them and as soon as you can find a good reputable small company to drive for give a week or two notice and leave with your record intact.

Neat wonder if Central does?? Any of the Central Conglomerate that is. If so I did enjoy working for them. I will say what i know and see. No matter what It might be. I have been in and round too long to play the game. Even if I knew the rules..........
