are we all familier with this sticker? class, can anyone tell me what this sticker says? what it means?

heres a hint: if myself or another driver is making a right turn.... DONT BLOODY DRIVE UP BESIDE US THINKING ITS YOUR OWN #### PRIVATE LANE!!!!!!!!! :biggrin_25516:

apperntly 99% of the population is unaware that we make wide turns. and thanks to the idiots that dont read... im out of a job AGAIN. this time by the stupidity of a 4 wheeler. stupid idiot decided to use my trailer as a paint remover during my probie period at a local gig and now im out of a local gig. luckily my boss talked the police out of charging me with a hit and run. which was nice considering i didnt even know it happend until 4 hours later. because had i know i would have be kind enough to stop, see if the other driver was ok, and then beat him into a 20 year coma. im sorry but #### like this classifies as "too stupid to live". 8 gajillion trucks with this sticker on it and yet noone knows we make wide turns.

i swear to god we need to do a public service announcment, take up every channel on the tv and explain braking, stoping distance, vehicle weight, and turning radius of tractor trailers to the motoring public since NOONE seems to know!

now if u will excuse me. i have a homicide to orchestrate.

That sucks. You need to do a button hook at all times - leaves your butt end on the right while you swing to the left preventing anyone from doing what this idiot did. Also watch your mirrors over and over and over and over.

Well really it is the drivers fault, unfortunately.... I can see both sides of it. The 4 wheeler should of been paying attention to the truck and its turn signal. On the other hand the driver should of been watching for the people who just don't pay attention and always be anticipating somebody to run up on him.

I know when making a turn I always plan on somebody to be an idiot and run up there. So, I block as much as I can till I make my turn. If there is 2 lanes I drive right down the middle of them to make sure I have everybody's attention behind me. Because I know when they see me doing that they are saying what is this idiot doing? :biggrin_255: At least the ones who are not watching my turn signal are.

Anyways always should do yourself a favor and try to protect yourself from getting into a position where they can cut in.

I think trucking organization period (all companies) should chip in and have a info commercial run daily talking about truck safety...
Something I have asked every company i have worked for to do.. The only one who kind of in a way took me serious was Schnieder National but never went anywhere with it...

Yep always gotta protect yourself, although we know what we are going to do, there is alot of uneducated drivers out there that dont have a clue as to whats happening with traffic around them. Too-Tall how could you not have noticed that there was an incident at one point or another. Unfortunately I know this stuff happens but it seems that you would have noticed during or after your turn. Good luck hope things work out.

LOL. I like your attitude. You sound like me.
Since I will be trucking soon I realize that the big trucks have to watch out for idiots since there is one around every corner. No matter if it is the idiots fault it always seems come back on the trucker.
If nothing else, it proves what Albert Einstein said at the bottom of this reply.

Hey, maybe the guy you hit is a Southerner! Just found this quote today:

"No true Southerner would ever assume that the car with the flashing turn signal is actually going to make a turn."

Anyway, no amount of warning stickers, signal lights, etc. matters if people don't look at them...

The fact is some people drive as if they're oblivious to what's going on around them. Warning stickers, turn signals, etc. don't work with them. And no, you can't really eliminate them from the road as it could happen to anyone, even to normally attentive, good driver that's just happen to be tired, distracted, sleepy, drunk, etc. So we just have to watch out for them!
