ive already went down that path to no return . luckily ive found a couple close to me , a local trucking company selling some off for a good price. sometimes the old way of just driving around the neighborhood still works better than technology.

 

I went to SLC Utility a week ago to see what reefers they offer. No new ones, at all in the near future, few 2019 trailers - $119k, couple of 2014 - $69. Well.. after looking at the list they gave me, I've folded it, put it in the pocket and.. went to parts counter, bought breaks, chocks, chambers, hub oil, liner, rivets to fix few holes and decided to "renew" drive train of my old renter to keep it rolling for few more miles .

 

I ordered a new stepdeck a few months ago, I refuse to pay what they're asking for used. Haven't decided yet if that's the dumbest idea I've had recently.

 

what brand of step did you go with?

 

What do you mean by "dumbest" idea? It is "done best" idea)

After a month or two, when they will be "used", you may sell them for a "used" price and become a happy owner of a few extra bux)

 

Mac, tried a Manac and what showed up had a fixed California legal spread instead of set to the rear, and apparently the wrong suspension or some ####, just a fubar deal all the way around.

 

This whole economy thing has me nervous.
