australian driver damo

    gday all, names Damien 29 year old from Australia

    Moving to Texas in December. is there a great deal of work going there?
    I have an Australian MC truck license (allowing 3-4 joined trailers)
    I will transfer my license apon arriving.
    I have 10 ish years exp carting sand (tippers), steel on flat 40ft trailers (road train up to 3 trailers),
    single 40 foot trailers (assorted fridge, dangerous goods ect)
    can drive any gearbox with long haul experience (5000km round trips *3000mi)

    any suggestions / pointed in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

    Hello and welcome to TTR!

    I can't answer you regarding driving in TX, I'm guessing you will apply for CDL once you get here, and have got your visa/immigration stuff sorted?

    So what makes you move from Oz to TX then?

    And it would be great to see some pics of those road trains you drive in Oz, like in your avatar pic, there's not really much like that in the US.
