Pop the speaker covers off and disconnect the wires off the speakers.

UPDATE: putting the transmission in reverse has nothing to do with the rear speakers turning back on. Instead it happens when I switch from rear AUX to Bluetooth. Putting the source on rear AUX and turning the rear speakers off then switching to Bluetooth made no difference either.

That's a possibility or just put in my aftermarket radio and I won't have to worry about turning the rear speakers off because I won't have to worry about the loudness filter as that's the reason for turning the rear speakers off in the first place. Thx for the thought

Yeah I did pull the radio out but unfortunately there's no wiring diagram on the radio itself and I suppose I could research it but I already have a wire harness for my aftermarket radio I'll just put that in, easy swap.

Ok, now I don't know if this is true or not. But I was told that if an aftermarket is not made for a big truck, the radio won't hold up to the vibration. May want to consider this

Consider that fake news. I've already had this aftermarket unit in another truck, no issues. And this isn't a CD head unit this is just a media receiver you only have radio, AUX or Bluetooth
