Don't be misled by the low cpm.

    Conway is:
    • Paying for CDL school for more than a month
    • Paying room and board for more than a month
    • Paying a finisher (trainer) to train during first 7500 to 10000 miles.
    They will pay me:

    Miles ---------------------Rate per mile
    0-10,000 (upgrade) ----$0.26
    10,001–59,999 ----------$0.31
    60,000–89,999 ----------$0.33
    90,000–119,999 ---------$0.35
    120,000–124,999 --------$0.38

Pumpkin Oval Head and DJ Hughes Thank this.

Roehl pays more than Con Way and has the same features (room, trainer, and weekly pay as a student). That said, I would see Con Way as a good option. My cousin has been in the industry for a few decades and he was with Con Way for several years. Switched for local fuel hauling.

Con Way is NOT a dead end company and a lot of companies get you around the same pay starting out. The question to ask is WHAT ARE YOU WANTING TO DO IN YEARS 2-??? Your goal should be to have your first move set up your medium to long term plan.

That good that they publish a miles based raise system. Chances are once you complete year one and get into/past the 120k rate, you will find plenty of options that pay better and perhaps have a better system for you to operate in. Or you may like it there and all companies will have to keep paying their seasoned drivers competitive rates as time passes. And this scale would quickly become obsolete to retain drivers.

I assume they also have other achievable bonuses that can be added in?
