@WildTiger1990 . . . I can't speak for all Americans, because mi familia has other heritage. Just wondering why, as a whole, you are bashing if you live here??
I'd love to learn more history; can you please include the link to the F1? I'm not being sarcastic, by any means. Just always willing to learn heritage.
    Thanks,
    Tom.

I got a new Ultra Shift Plus MXP a few months ago. I like it.
But when I'm in a hurry to get out into traffic I know I could shift a manual wayyyy faster than this thing shifts. But I've learned to use manual mode for those occasions.
I do especially like it for down shifting, it does a good job.

F1 has seamless automated manuals and this American knows a whole lot about F1 and Hey if you don't like what I write ignore it...

And yes they also banned automated suspensions, but that's another story...Almost all of the European trucks use AMT's to help with consistency...

On that small hill, just drop it into (M)anual mode and pick up the pace a bit... Easy.

Just because it's an automated manual system doesn't mean that you are prohibited from shifting it when the time is appropriate.

While everyone is entitled to an opinion, I really love how anyone in a manual is a Twue Twucker while anyone in an auto is a Steering Wheel Holder... As if the only important thing to driving a truck is to be able to shift.

Nothing else matters... Blows my mind... lol

Ok... So what about all the drivers outside the group of "the best"... Not everyone is a perfect shifter... So let us enjoy our tools if the trade without being considered "the dumbed down" group.

There is more to life than a shifter in your hand.
