No, I was just answering your question. Before the 10 hours off rule it was 8, so my example would've been legal not too long ago. Is 9 hours off dangerous? I don't think so, but the government currently does. People have cheated the whole time though, no matter what the rules were.
I was merely commenting on the flexibility you could gain on paper by not noting every miniscule thing throughout your day as it happens. It was to answer your question as to why someone wouldn't log a pee break. Personally, I couldn't care less. I don't cheat anymore because I don't need to and can't if I wanted to (I work reasonable, legal hours in a daycab with elogs).
However, I certainly cheated when I was OTR, so I happen to know how and why.

I love how one day you're legal and rested and the next day, after a stroke of the FMCSA's pen you are a tired out dangerous criminal.BigRedNY, pigeon river trucking, Orangees and 2 others Thank this.

I think what he was getting at was that the likes of Werner and C.R. England have the incessant need to hire mindless drones and robots.Hurst Thanks this.
-
And England wants you to pay for the privilege too.
Hurst Thanks this. -
That was where I was going with my comments but did not want to insult those who drove for them.

Of course that wasn't to say every driver at the big companies fit that description, but too many do.Hurst Thanks this.

I honestly like both. Currently I have a manual and sometimes, a lot of times I wish I had automatic. More space in between the chairs, less shifting when going through traffic, and when having a lazy day = less work. But with automatics I'll also get very bored at times and wish I had a manual. Either way I like both.
BigRedNY Thanks this. -
And we can hope they grow out of that description and become drivers.
