Automatic Tire Chains... Anyone else seen this?

    They've been around for years. Fire department I used to run with had them back in 2005-06 range. So hopefully they have a good model out and the kinks worked out by now.

    Oh, you mean that deep snow that means you should be parked until the storm passes and the roads get cleared off?

    Parkings an option? I'd be waiting awhile lately in bc if I didn't want to drive in the snow.

    They've been around for at least 10 years. In no way would these get you up the Coq, so learn how to chain up, or stay off the road till spring

    Sanders seem like they would be nice to have. All the times they have us chain up for slush or moderately slick packed snow. It seems like the worst/frequent encounters on the road for slick spots isn't in the chain up "zones".

    FYI they have been around and in use for the last 30y not 10.
    Trucks in that video are Mercedes SK,production off those stopped in the 80's
