Your right, forgot to mention how smooth it shifts, you don't really feel it. If I was hauling tanker I'd most likely use manual shift around town, just to be sure.

I will guess you are driving an 3,4 or 5th gen Ultrashift?

maybe a lot has changed since 07 . Still I am quite certain you are never going to be able to catch 3 or 4 gears while hurrying across a 4 lane divided . give me a shifter and two splitters anytime .
how is that thing for climbing hills ?
hit that steep one in anything I have driven and you are screwed since there will be no down shifting . Well the KW did allow for this but not as good as a manual. The FL was worthless. they just stall out . Then go down and your screwed again because no way to down shift . then take off and have drive axle or trailer go into a small dip in road and the things cant shift because speed changes . Rev up drop back into lower gear rev up ..... Same goes for driving in dirt , mud , sand ..

Could be . It has been my experience that it takes around 4 years for the things to start screwing up and not shifting and such . this after driving one for 4 years that was an 07 and started having problems in 12. Slow moving in it was actually more of a bad intake valve actuator problem as the truck had no power under load . The others I drove there did have a lot more get up and go but also had bigger engines . The FL i drove took off very slow and it had 1200 miles on it when I got it . Also a 07. But had great top end speed . Just no extra power for passing . the owner bought 8 of them and got rid of them after about 6 years because of all the problems .
