Trans Scam only runs automatics. I guess they figure anybody who chooses to work for them must be too dumb to learn how to use a clutch.
Automatics..for newbies..really???

The only reason auto's are becoming more and more is the quality (or lack thereof) of drivers that are coming out of CDL mills. These guys can barely dress themselves, let alone figure out a shift pattern.
I tried to read the whole thread but got bored of the pen15 comparing and whining of automatic drivers trying to justify themselves....Facts are facts, you can try to justify it all day but you will never have the same control of an auto that you will a manual.
But, you auto drivers must be hero's to USX drivers. You just have a truck that does the shifting for you so you don't screw anything up. They got an Auto, GPS, Sideview Camera, Vorad and a blind-spot warning. Do they do ANYTHING in there? You'd think they are union or something...... -
Yesterday, we were doing log book training. I spent 15 minutes trying to explain to another student that the driver in the example given to us couldn't possibly have had 9 hours on duty-driving, 7 hours on duty-not driving, and 11 hours off duty. He couldn't figure out that you can't have 27 hours in a day. -
Am I wrong.....???..... if you're a newbie...........wouldn't you rather go with a trainer (and company for that matter) that would teach you on a manual trans....???? moutains...ice..etc..
I have a $250.000 life insurance policy. Bought it out at State Farm. A Prefered elite rating. -
I once had an old timer advance the theory that eventually, most trucks would be automatics and in order to drive a manual transmission truck a driver would need a special endorsement for it on their license.

I will be disappointed if my first job hands me an automatic, but not so much that I would turn them down.
I love manual transmission cars and I hope my love for shifting transfers over to loving to shift an 18 wheeler. -
I can back up my comments, I've been doing it for 11 yrs (in 3 weeks it'll be 12 yrs) can you debunk me with actual exp. in same or is it your opinion? -

if u cant shift ur not a real truck driver.
-
lol, guess I can say the same for any driver who's afraid of chains, snow, or mountains
