Mine is a 99, but I can start in any gear I pick, and it shifts as fast as you mash the go pedal, now going from forward to reverse is slower that a manual, but not once you are in gear and starting down the road.

I think this one is just messed up then. Lol.

It’s fine it’s not my truck and it’s next in line to get sent up the river...

May be or it may be working as it should, I only have any experience with mine. I will say I bought it in Indiana and drove it bobtail back to New Mexico. I was cussing myself before I got back with it, but once I hooked a load on to it and made a round and learned how to drive it my mind changed. Will I ever buy another one, I doubt it seriously, but they do have their place.

Yours may need some computer programming, I know they can change shift points and such with them.

This is why I told the boss I would quit if he ever put me in a truck with an automatic braking system... We run through WY every week all year round.

    How?

You’re opposed to being able to hold your current gear?

Just cover the radar dome with snow. That will disable it. ;)

I have a 2020 Freightliner and I hate it. My Volvo was a lot better.

Yeah, the Freightliner I drove was a nightmare, but the Volvo was a dream.

Yes, when my company called and said I was getting a new truck (last month) I asked if I could keep my Volvo. Unfortunately it was going to auction, so no go.
