Well, Monfort is long gone and history. Probably a good thing. So are you getting geared up for orientation. I still have some tax returns to get in before they can submit my package. I don't usually file mine for the previous year because being self employed. Now I've contacted the accountant and told him to get going. Another short setback.
On a consulting gig and won't get back to Cincy 'til tomorrow. Head out to NLR Saturday morning. Fortunately I was able to get most of the stuff squared away before leaving town. The real answer to you question is: H*** Yes! I'm ready to go.
The transmissions are not automatics like a car (with bands and internal clutches ect.) they are a manual gear box that is electronically shifted so they act just like a regular big truck transmission.
Sometimes when I come to a full stop, I'm still kicking my left leg searching for the clutch to find nothing but air. It's hilarious!
My trainer gets onto me when i press the brake in to start the engine. Old habit. I like the automatic and it has come in handy for places like chicago. No sore clutch leg. The only thing i dont like about them is that it takes forever to start rolling after a stop. Even empty. Wish it was smart enough to skip gears when empty.
Dont wanna piss the trainer off. He doesnt do it so i dont. When i get my own truck i will when empty. Taking 30 seconds to cross an intersection is crazy when empty. Like the light leaving madison yard. Its already yellow by the time i get pulled out into the street lol
