Don’t forget to count deadhead just the same as loaded miles. It’ll drive the brokers mad but only calculate rates on total miles

I’m in the 4-5000 a week range. I haul heavy equipment for a large network of dealers here in Illinois and another out east in PA and NJ. Lots of dozers,combines,4wd tractors, and big gen sets.

I pull a reefer . Had a broker tell me he would pay DH to shipper 90mi 743 loaded on ice cream load. He offered 2200. I normally get 4+ loaded mi only. He would not go any higher than 2200. Loads Thur so he bottom fishing . Tomorrow im at 3700 reason being it delivers Saturday reefer burns 53.00 bucks aday on ice cream .
