My hourly average pay is the amount I need to live on, plus a little extra for fun and toys.
I make some cents per mile, I am provided with shelter and heat and cooling (as needs be), and a certain freedom that does not come with many jobs.
Sure, the boss(s) complains if I use too much fuel for heating or cooling.
But, gripes are gripes - and tomAtoes are sometimes tomawtoes.
All the same in the end.
'Average hourly pay' does not really apply to trucking.
There are too many variables and considerations to try to pin it down that way.
