I make right at $310 per night. I leave KC at 830 or so, drop in Omaha at 1145 hook and head to Kearney, ariving there at 2. Drop and hook there and am back in Kansas City by 7. The trailers are always ready for me. No waiting. Just crank and go. 6 nights a week. I got the job because someone died. There are two guys with the company that run from KC to Omaha and back nightly. That run pays $210. One man is 75 the other is 72. In 15 years, I am the first new hire.
KC to Omaha to Kearney to KC is about 680 or so.
KC Omaha and back is
380. Miles that is.

I'm a regional runner in WA, OR and ID. I run 105,500 lbs trucks and average 450 miles a day. That's usually with one live load and one live unload. Average time in dock 1hr.

It carts dramatically from about 400 to 600 miles for me, which is from 1 to 4 trips in a day. About 80% drop and hook with only 1-200 miles per trip, but occasionally a live unload at a customer which tends to be a much longer trip, though rarely more than 600.
