For the most part I am averaging 2k a week. Usually the way it works is a get a crappy couple of weeks, then right when I am about to quit they start jacking up the miles and I delude myself into thinking things are picking back up. The amount of time you stay out factors in as well. If you only want to be out 11 days you will probably only get 1 or 2 1000 mile runs.

I spent two years as a 7/4-7/3 driver, we were in the same neighborhood of about 8000 miles a month. With us we would usually get a good run to start and then a bunch of crappy loads. When I talked to other drivers in other fleets they were getting the same miles. I've been an l/o for almost four months and even though I'm not getting home as much my miles are about the same as when I was company.

I really think it is a Roehl thing since even on this thread everyone is saying pretty much the same thing, just in different ways.

You Also should keep in mind that you need to watch your paychecks. They have a well Deserved reputation 4 "forgetting" to pay all that they owe you. They also are very good at passing on costs to the driver. The best thing to keep in mind when dealing with Roehl Is that the company's bottom line is always the bottom line and if they can pass a cost. onto a driver they will hallways go that route.

Hubby and I were going to go I/C with Roehl until we were told that our business plan of doing an avg. of 5000 a week was unrealistic. When I asked what was realistic I was told around 4200 miles. I thought for a team? No way. That killed that idea and I'm glad it. We are in the process of getting our truck with Schneider and it won't look like every other Schneider truck either. Good luck Preacher Man. Good plan pay off your truck and look elsewhere.

just for kicks cause i was bored last night i made a spreadsheet to track my miles and pay, since starting driving on my own july 1st i have an average of 2149 miles a week, but that includes my 4 days hometime after 18 out, and twice with 5, those weeks i had a couple hundred miles. that isnt bad at all, they keep me busy

2000 miles a week is pretty standard for all the fleets, I stay out a month at a time, and I still seem to stay pretty close to the 2k mark. It has been a little better the last month or so, but I think I have just been in the right place at the right time. I long for the good old days of 2800 per week... They keep adding trucks so we will not see that again anytime soon.

I have had only one week under 3000 miles on my 7/7 schedule in the last 6 months. That week included a 7 stop curtainside load that chewed up three days.

Frank- I think every one got off track, yes Roehl does have dedicated positions available but its going to depend on where you live, the gp fleet has a pretty broad range of area so you could look into that. I am also an i/c only averaging 2300 miles a week but I am not as desperate for miles as most so in my time at Roehl as a comp drvr 800 was average
