Average Week

The only thing consistent in OTR is inconsistency.

 

I'll add, trucking OTR is what you make of it. You'll have to learn to make the bad weeks sitting a lot suck less, and you'll have to learn to mange your time well in the busy weeks to make the appointment times. And for everyone, how this is accomplished is different. For me, I'm not a penny pincher. I'll get a comfortable motel once/twice a week as is practical. I'll venture off the beaten path, I'll enjoy a nice steak dinner once in a while at a "real" restaurant. But, I have no family to support or mortgage payment and no wife ######## she doesn't have enough money in the bank to get her hair colored.

Someone else said it and I'll second it ... "trucking is a lifestyle, not a job" and how you decide to let the lifestyle control and direct your life is entirely up to you.

If I have to read another story 'bout some "chuckle head" whinin' 'bout everything,

And demand cheese with my whine.

It's only a "waste" of their time if all there is to read is whiners whinin' 'bout whiners whinein', :smt091 and thereby miss the message entirely.
