This question is for all of the drivers working for Crete fresh out of driving school within your 1st year subsequent to the 6-8 weeks out with your assigned trainer. I'd like to know what you guys/gals are averaging on weekly miles? Anyone consistently getting 2500+ per week? Anyone on the Home Weekly program and if so what kind of weekly miles averaged?
Like many of you I have kids and many bills to pay and need to hear some realistic mileage figures to ascertain whether ends will meet or not.
Also, what's home time been like? How many days out on both programs before you get home and how many days or total hrs. home on each? Would like to be able to make a good living but still see my family as much as possible. Hopefully that's not asking too much!:smt079
Many thanks!![]()

Surely there's some 1st year Crete drivers out there without prior experience who can share the average weekly miles you've been getting. Anyone?

I too am wondering the same info. Looking to start school on the 28th if all goes as planned.

Well, I'm not a first year guy, been here for a few. I remember they seemed to keep me going pretty good at first but I never made it a whole year running national. I was offered gig that gets me 580mi a night 5 x week
and home daily(still # Crete). Good luck These jobs are out there
jondun Thanks this. -
That's an awesome sounding gig! Excellent miles and home daily. Can't beat that. Were you offered it out of sheer luck or did you tell them you preferred a more regional or dedicated route?

There's got to be some other new drivers out there that can chime in.

I've been here for 2 1/2 years or so. Miles my first year were around 25-2600 per week. always a few lower but a few higher. That was when the economy was totally in the tank though, for 2010 I averaged just under 11,000 miles per month. I do stay out at least 3 weeks at a time though. Hope this helps.
jondun and Son of a Trucker Thank this.
